IN STUDIO
Standing still with my easel, trying to catch Cathedral of Barcelona while the city rushes by.
Morning light, pajamas, painting on the floor and chaos in the background. Just another studio day.
Daily self-portrait challenge, planned for 30 days, survived 14. Still worth every brushstroke
CONCEPTS & MORE
Unplanned Paths
My practise is exploratory and process-driven. I move between portraits, figures, landscapes, abstraction and surreal elements. Often starting with a clear idea and than letting the painting transform as I work. I am interested in how memory, mood and place shift an image on the canvas, from old master inspired realism to more fragmented or dreamlike forms. Family stories from Georgia, Ukraine everyday studio moments and people and spaces around me all become material. Instead of fixing one style, my current research is about following the painting’s own logic and discovering where it wants to go.
