Statement
I was born in Agartala in the northeast part of india and currently lives in Agartala in my Studio ‘Masterpiece’.I am a full time practising artist since 2009. I firmly believe in Taoism that we are like a single brush stroke in the vast nature. i realise that although we are today very advanced technologically but we are not able to prevent natural disasters.i think that we should understand and respect nature`s power and maintain natural harmony in our environment. Notwithstanding the debt we owe to nature, its emotive power and its importance to other forms of life, the forested area of the earth is steadily being depleted. This in turn is leading to the degradation of the environment and the extinction of many species. The reason why I concentrate on these feature is because my painting is not primarily interested in how nature looks but in how people relate to it.I use the Indian mythological story to show the power of the nature.Sometime I scrape and fold my painting to feel the destruction of nature. sometime I also used multiple paper or canvas to create a single composition to shown my inner wish to join our beautiful nature.I am always inspired by artist Paul Gauguin and also Henri Rousseau’s jungle fantasy.one of my favourite artist is Rene Magritte his personal values is my all time favourite painting .I always try to use different mediums each medium have different possibilities and always used bright colours and design like Gaurav Klimt’s paintings which can attract viewers.I sometimes created real images with decorative patterns throughout that I want to create the conflict between real and unreal.I always watch animal Planet , National Geographic ,wildlife Channels where I found the jungle like struggles.when I travel I can saw many flora surrounding us and I transferred my those memories in my art .
